[Yuri – Lady Washington, Deck – BoL – NA]
“I didn’t Petition for anything, though now that that happened, a part of me wishes that I did.” Yuri scratched his cheek, looking down at the ground. “I don’t think the prince would grant my request though, even if I did submit one.”
The crowds dispersed and began moving back to their own spots, Yuri following Ariyah to the stairs. He stopped when she asked her next question, Yuri raising his hands to wave them frantically in front of himself. “N-no, no no I didn’t… at least I don’t think? My sire disappeared a year after um, my death, but he made sure to teach me the importance of the Masquerade; it was perhaps one of the first things he taught me.”
“What do I- you mean my career? Oh, um… I’m just a mortician, a-and funeral director.” Yuri hesitated in answering that, his voice fading out towards the end. He gripped his cosmetic box that hung down by his side in his hand. Yuri waited for Ariyah’s reaction. Would it be disgust? Curiosity? The reactions have been so varying as of late when he told people of his work now he didn’t know what to expect.
